Biographical/Historical note: Jans B. Wager is a professor at Utah Valley University where she coordinates the Cinema Studies program. She teaches courses in Cinema Studies and English Literature. Dr. Wager earned her B.A. from University of Colorado at Boulder. She then earned her M.A. in German and Ph.D. in Comparative Literature, both from University of California at Davis. Dr. Wager has published books and essays on representation within film noir including titles such as Jazz and Cocktails: Rethinking Race and the Sound of Film Noir and Dames in the Driver's Seat: Rereading Film Noir. She has also published essays on film director and actor Ida Lupino, and on the actor Richard Roundtree. This archive collection includes research related to all of her publications.
