Biographical/Historical note: Briant J. Farnsworth worked at UVU for 15 years. As Dean of the School of Education he saw it grow from 30 students to nearly 1,000. He is currently serving in the role of professor emeritus. Farnsworth was instrumental in developing UVU's secondary education program and was the chief developer of the Master of Education degree, the first Master's degree offered at UVU. Farnsworth has served on the Utah Council of Education Deans, and has twice served as its president. Farnsworth and his wife, Glenna, have five children and 14 grandchildren.
