Biographical/Historical note: The Utah Valley University Department of Dance belongs to the School of Arts. It maintains a mission to foster academic and artistic excellence through intensive technical and reflective study of dance. Offering both an Associates and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance as well as a Bachelors of Science in Movement Studies and Dance Education, the UVU Department of Dance provides instruction in ballet, modern, and ballroom techniques. The department is also home to the UVU Ballroom Dance Team and Synergy Dance Company, a modern dance ensemble.
